Installation & Service
We understand some components whether performance upgrades or appearance items, are either beyond what you feel comfortable installing yourself, or you simply don't have the time - we can install these parts and accessories on site. We can install a supercharger on your Miata, a custom steering wheel on your Porsche, or an oil cooler on your MGA. We can also perform most regular service items or repair items you may require. This can range from oil changes to a timing belt change or a new clutch installation.

The Project Cars
One way to develop an interesting selection of performance and enhancements part for you is to try them ourselves. We'll go through the experience of installing these items and be able to report the results. Look for "work-in-process" photographs as we go for each project car in the months ahead.

1962 MGA MkII Roadster

This will be a fun project! We will be taking advantage of recently introduced products on the market.

We'll be installing a MOSS supercharger for a MGA, a five speed transmission, and custom tuned exhaust with dual outlet exhaust!

The body will also undergo a transformation as we will be modifying the body panels to appear as a 1955 Le Mans entrant - it will look very cool!

1995 Mazda Miata

The Miata is so easy to modify just the way you want it. There are so many aftermarket accessories available for the Miata the possible configurations are endless - and we'll have fun with our Miata. A supercharger for sure, lowering performance springs, new Panasport wheels, intercooler, brake upgrades, dual outlet exhaust system just to name a few. The body will remain somewhat understated - but it will go!
Super Charger Installation
Components of the JR Supercharger for our 1995 Miata (power steering with no A/C)
First we replace the water pump and timing belt before adding the supercharger. While the cam cover is off we prep it and paint it with high temp paint. (We can spray or powder coat yours as well!) The throttle body needed to be relocated.
Static idler pulleys and brackets installed. Installation of auxiliary fuel pressure regulator. Installation on intake manifold elbow.
(requires bending brake lines)
Installation of supercharger and belt. New air breather assembly in place. Completed installation, which also included installing a higher flow fuel pump and new fuel filter.
Racing Beat Power Pulse Dual Outlet Exhaust
Muffler and dual outlet pipes. Excellent quality of welds. Nice detail to outlet pipes.
New dual outlet look - and it sounds great!
Moss Dual Headlamp System
Removing the plastic outer cover housing. Removing the headlamp door upper cover. Take off pivot bar from ball and disconnect electrical connections.
Use a 10 mm and 12 mm to remove pivot bolts.

1973.5 Porsche 911T 2.4

Recently purchased in central Maine, a 1973-1/2 911T Coupe. This was the last of the early body style with the introduction of the new fuel injection system known as CIS (Continuous Injection System). This CIS system is much simpler and easier to maintain than the mechanical fuel injection system (MFI) used in 1969-1973 "E" and "S" models, and the 1972 - early 1973 911 "T" models, and yet retained 140 HP. This particular car is a "T" with CIS, and was ordered with many of the "S" options such as "S" alloy brake calipers, front lower spoiler, Koni suspension, Fuchs rims, and "S" instrumentation - yet it doesn't have a sunroof or electric windows.

The very first upgrade we performed was to install the later Carrera style hydraulic chain tensioners as this engine had not been updated. We adjusted the valves, changed engine and transmission oil, flushed the brakes and replaced with Super Blue and the car drives beautifully! We'll have a number of projects and upgrades planned over the next few months while it is still driving season, then this winter get into a little more serious work. Some of the upcoming items include: installing a Pertronix Ignitor to go from points in the distributor to an electronic ignition, installing stainless steel brake hoses, lowering the front and rear suspension to "euro" spec to close up the tall gap between the fender lips and the top of the wheels (we'll also be installing a bump steer kit to compensate for the lowered look and a turbo tie rod kit).

This winter we'll pull the engine and do a thorough check of the 915 transmission and check all engine components while we dress out the engine compartment. For being an original "Maine" car, it has very little rust, just a few very small spots to attend to. I'm sure we'll end up with a re-spray to make everything look "fresh", and install new gaskets and seals. But I'm getting ahead of myself! The car is a joy to drive, the early car just feels lighter than my 1985 Carrera.

Use a 10 mm and 12 mm to remove pivot bolts.
1965 MGB Roadster
This MG was recently purchased up along coastal Maine, and it is in for mainly body work and a re-paint. The car was restored as a hobby and the body work and paint work need improving. The MG is gun-metal gray, but we will be returning it to its original British Racing Green. It sports a Weber carb and runs great. The interior was all ready restored and the dash and seats are the original items, not replaced with items out of a newer MG model. All the rust areas were replaced with metal but the final finish of the car was a let down, and we hope to correct some of these "issues". This car will probably be for sale when it's completed, so stay tuned!
